Talk to Me

(Talk to me baby)
I can't live without your voice
(I'm going crazy)
if I can't hold you in my arms
Just say something, I don't care what
I just wanna know that you're still there

You've been gone all day
It might seem short, but it feels like forever
I didn't get to say
how much I love you, though you already know

'Cause sometimes I think I might've
said the same too much
I know you don't really wanna know
but I can't help it

(Talk to me baby)
I can't live without your voice
(I'm going crazy)
if I can't hold you in my arms
Just say something, I don't care what
I just wanna know that you're still there

Don't wanna disturb you
but you're driving me insane, I try not to care
Wish you were here right now
and every day I hope you feel the same

Sometimes I think you might not
wanna talk to me at all
I hate myself for doubting you
but I can't help it

(Talk to me baby)
I can't live without your voice
(I'm going crazy)
if I can't hold you in my arms
Just say something, I don't care what
I just wanna know that you're still there

Please let me shed my doubt
Just say the final words
'Cause if I know for sure
Then everything's no longer wrong

It may have been just a fling, and purposely so, but it was a damn prolific one. That led to some great (well, in my opinion anyway) pop lyrics like this one here.
I purposely started to break personal boundaries here, especially with the word "baby", which I had NEVER used before. That might have helped the "pop song" effect here.
I think this one was actually the first one I put music to. I got frequent complains about the impossible bassline.
