Life

I'm waking up
And now I think you're empty
like a new year's resolution
But I've been there
I've been on the ground like you
waiting for my execution

And I grew
And I walked and I flew
So I wonder, why do you lie
'Cause you're lying
But you're hiding, thinking
they're screaming 'Die, die, die'

Now I see, now I see
The life running through me
And I'm starting to find myself
And I bleed, and I bleed
I'm always bleeding before you
and it's starting to piss me off

I'm falling down
And so are you
and so is everyone else
But we're laughing
'cause we know there's nothing
Nothing we can do

Now I see, now I see
The life running through me
And I'm starting to find myself
And I bleed, and I bleed
I'm always bleeding before you
and it's starting to piss me off

So shut up and listen
You know, everyone's tired
of you bringing them down
So stop pretending
'Cause we know who you are
and they're so much better
than who you want to be

Now I see, now I see
The life running through me
And I'm starting to find myself
And I bleed, and I bleed
I'm always bleeding before you
and it's starting to piss me off

I originally came up with part of the chorus, then wrote the rest around that with a "let's-see-where-this-goes" mentality.
